Concept

“Balkan tourist” is a specialised travel package offering an agriculture tourism experience. It is agricultural due to the location chosen – Northwestern part of Bulgaria. There are many unknown to the mass tourism sites there, as well as a lot of historical ones. The main core of this tourism package is to ensure slow, authentic tourism as well as de-marketing of other types of tourism that are popular in Bulgaria now, e.g. Sunny beach. Visitors would be able to get a very good insight of the local community, traditions etc.


Accommodation: bungalows, camping and guests houses

Communication

Green – Represents: Harmony, Natural, Healthy, Renewal and Plentiful. Green is mainly used to represent eco-friendly companies or businesses revolving around agriculture, recycling, landscaping, gardening and solar power.

Yellow- The qualities studied included courage, fear, frugality, fun, quality, reliability, security, speed, and trust.

White – Represents: Pure, Peaceful, Spiritual, Clean and Goodwill. White is a neutral colour that implies purity.

Personnel

The involvement of the locals will play a huge part in this tourism product. Locals will be doing the different tours, activities and there will always be somebody around in case of need of information or emergency. The personnel need to have highly developed intercultural skills as well as advanced languages skills, in order to translate the authentic experiences in best way possible.



Network

The municipality of the town of Berkovitsa (situated in the same Northwestern region), and more specific their tourism department

The hotel/ restaurant at the peak of the mountain Kom. As this mountain will be included in the tours, activities etc, we will be working closely in collaboration with the people responsible, to ensure the safest experience possible in the mountains.

E-commerce companies, travel agents and tour operators. As the product itself is the package, we are going to have an official independent website; as a e-commerce travel agent, where we will be able to sell it as well as communicate with our customers.
